Dear alumnae, alumni and friends of UTS, In 1996, the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE) accredited Unification Theological Seminary. Every ten years accredited institutions of higher education engage in an 18-24 month period of self-study and peer review, in order to demonstrate institutional compliance with various standards of accreditation.  In March 2013, UTS completed the self-study and hosted a MSCHE team visit. Remembering Prof. Dietrich Seidel (1943-2016)

We are sad to announce that Dr. Dietrich Seidel (UTS’77), a professor at UTS for 12 years, passed on November 19 in San Diego with his family by his side. He had been suffering from leukemia for some time. Dietrich Seidel, DI. (M.S.), Ph.D. (UTS’77) was born in 1943, the middle of World War II, in the small Austrian town of Pernitz, in the Piesting valley, about 40 miles south of Vienna.
