BARRYTOWN – All of us have games, pastimes or hobbies we enjoy. Ute Delaney, Registrar at the Unification Theological Seminary for the past 20 years and a 2010 graduate, has what she affectionately refers to as her “other life.”
Her “other life,” the one apart from her “lives” as a wife, mother of two boys ages 21 and 18, and working woman, is her immersion into the world of crafts, into the world of Fiber Arts. This area runs the gamut of handcrafts, including spinning, dyeing, weaving, knitting, and crocheting, with some of these dating back to the dawn of recorded history.

UTS Alumni in Maryland Take Leading Roles
TS President, Hugh Spurgin, had declared in a speech to the Top Gun conference in Las Vegas, November 6-8, that UTS alumni were leading projects and ministries across the nation, but that few people knew about it. Alumni may not be flaunting their affiliations, but there is no doubt they are putting UTS skills training to good use in managing God-given programs in the Washington, D.C. area.
Take the weekend of Nov. 14-15, for instance.
On Saturday, Nov. 14, Dr. Michael Jenkins (UTS’77 &’12), was out and about early. He and Archbishop George Augustus Stallings, who is an...
UTS Alumni in Tarrytown Preach on “Saving America for God”
The guest speakers at the Nov. 15 Sunday service of WestRock Family Church in Tarrytown, New York were a UTS Alumni husband and wife team who both graduated from UTS in the early 80s. After UTS graduation, both volunteered, in 1984, to be full-time City Leaders for the CAUSA mission at State College, PA, and in Altoona, PA. When they moved to New Jersey in 1987 they continued doing CAUSA work and civic engagement. With that...

The next 40 year chapter of UTS has opened
2015 marked the 40 Year Anniversary of UTS. The 40th Anniversary of the UTS’ Inaugural Convocation was held on September 20, 2015. Trustees, faculty, alumni and guests gathered in the chapel to celebrate the achievements of the first 40 years. Father Moon’s inaugural address and a film from the first Convocation captured the spirit of that special day back on September 20, 1975. Now the challenge is to launch the next 40 years with a similar passion as Father Moon. UTS is on a mission from God. The current mission statement declares UTS to be “Bridging religious and cultural...
