Cambridge University Press Publishes Professor Michael Mickler’s The Unification Church Movement
Dr. Michael Mickler, UTS Distinguished Professor of Historical Studies, recently published The Unification Church Movement with Cambridge University Press, the oldest and one of the world’s most highly regarded university presses.
The volume is part of CUP’s Elements Series on new religious movements. The series is intended to go beyond stereotypes and popular prejudices to present new religions and their adherents in a scholarly and engaging manner.
Dr. Mickler’s volume recounts the tumultuous history of the UCM. Utilizing both external documents and internal sources, it highlights the leading personalities, organizations, and circumstances which facilitated the UCM’s rise, its present challenges, and future development.
