UTS Opens New Exhibit Highlighting Its History
On March 9, 2020, Dr. Ki Hoon Kim, Family Federation Regional Chairman for North American, as well as International Vice President of the Family Federation, joined Reverend Demian Dunkley, President of Family Federation USA, UTS Board of Trustee Members, and UTS Faculty and Administration in a ribbon-cutting ceremony at Unification Theological Seminary’s 43rd Street campus that marked the opening of a new exhibit. It invites interested parties to learn more about the role that UTS has played in Unification History.
Ms. Christina Lange, Assistant to UTS President Thomas Ward, as well as Director of Special Projects, played the pivotal role in coordinating and curating the exhibit. The exhibit highlights Rev. Sun Myung Moon’s and Dr. Hak Ja Han’s role in founding the Seminary.
Its artifacts remind visitors of the pivotal role that UTS has played in a number of the Founders’ important initiatives, including the formulation and emergence of Unification Theology: the preservation and analysis of Unification history in America, research and creation of lectures and materials to present a clear understanding of Marxism and its limitations that led to the creation of the CAUSA Lecture Manual (1985), which helped to facilitate the end of the Cold War; the development of protocols for interfaith dialogue between UTS seminarians and leaders and scholars of other faiths that continues today; as well as a variety of other important projects.
Please visit UTS at 4 W. 43rd Street to visit the exhibit and learn more.
